House Music for the Gathering
Music forms part of the atmosphere of every House of Chelsea gathering.
The music of the wedding ceremony remains within the care of the church and its own traditions. Following the ceremony, House Music provides a considered musical setting for the gathering, accompanying arrival, dining and conversation throughout the reception.
The House collection draws principally from classical and chamber music, early and sacred music, piano and restrained jazz. The selections are quiet enough to allow conversation while giving the room a sense of continuity and occasion.
Music is selected according to the character of the church, the House Expression and the time of year, creating a musical setting that sits naturally alongside the architecture, table and gathering.
House Music
House Music is included within every gathering.
A curated recording is prepared for the reception and played through the sound system of the associated event space. The music is arranged to accompany the different stages of the gathering, from the arrival of guests through to the shared table and the close of the evening.
Live Music
For those wishing to add live performance, the House can arrange selected musicians to perform within the gathering.
Piano, violin, cello and small chamber ensembles may be composed according to the church, event space and character of the gathering.
Live music is available as an additional option and is arranged separately from the included House Music collection.
